Today we all met up as a group and we all bought some fresh fruit at a stand near my apartment for breakfast. The apple I had was huge and very delicious! After, our group split up and Kari and I walked around Florence together. We went to the Duomo (a famous church/tourist attraction) and looked around inside. On a warmer day we're going to go to the top tower and below to the crypts but today was just too cold. Good thing the Duomo is about a 5 min walk from my apartment! I ended up buying a new purse that should be big enough hold my books and supplies. At least that’s my goal. I love the purse too! And it was only 16.40!! Great deal! Kari and I also walked to the river where there were many amazing sights and awesome shops that had very pretty jewelry in then! However it was VERY expensive. IF I have enough money at the end of my semester, I might to back and buy a ring. There were some cheaper ones that cost around 60 euro. However, I may just save my money.
Kari and I also bought some groceries!! Finally I have some food in my apt! I cooked bow tie pasta with a 4 cheese sauce for dinner. I also had some fresh bread and olive oil to go with it. But no I did not have wine to drink tonight. I’m going to wait and learn more about wine before I buy some. After dinner Kari, her roomies Alyssa, my roomies Kelsey and Olivia and myself all went out for gelato. I had a cup of caramel gelato and it was sooo yummy!!! Now Alyssa, Olivia, and Kelsey are out at a bar and I’m about ready to take a shower, read, and go to bed. I’m really tired after today. Maybe next weekend I’ll go out to a bar with them. There’s one right down the street so I won’t have to travel far!
I also wanted to say thank to all of my friends and family for your comments and support after my rough day yesterday. Especially my mom who made me feel better. It was great talking to her and dad yesterday. I’ve missed them a lot. I do appreciate everyone who reads my blogs and are here for me. I have great friends and family! But now I am off to get ready for bed. It’s almost 11pm. Good night everyone and love you!
