Wow! I've been a bad person and have not been doing so well at keeping you guys posted! Sorry for that! So let me catch you up!
Last week, I was sick and felt horrible for the first part of the week. On Wednesday however, I was feeling much better and went out to dinner with Jared and met his parents and his sister and her boyfriend. Now before everyone starts freaking out, no Jared is not my boyfriend. He's a good guy but he lives in NJ, it'd never work out. Jared and I have become great friends over the past few weeks which is why he invited me to meet his family. I loved his family and they adored me! Jared's family is pretty much like my own family. Silly, outgoing, and loves to pick on people. I fit right in lol.
Last weekend was a lonely one for me. All of my roomies, Kari, and Jared were out of town on their own vacations. I hate being alone with a passion so being alone from Thurs-Sat was aweful. Thankfully, Alyssa was still in town. Though we're not close and we've never hung out with each other one on one, we were both alone last weekend so we got together. I ended up buying 2 new pairs of flats, a red belt, and a new laptop fan. My computer has decided to not work yet again. It has a problem with over heating and the laptop fan I had for it broke. So I bought a new one. I was very proud of myself because the store owner didn't speak any English. Though I could really respond to what he was saying, I did understand everything he said to me. I say that's very good since I've only been here for a little over 2 months! Sadly the laptop fan isn't big enough to help much so I have to continually give my computer rests in hopes it doesn't quit on me before I get back to the states and buy a new one.
This week was busy with school work and starting to write one of my two 8 page papers. I'm not very far in the writing process, but I do have a few weeks and I'm in the research phase so I'm right on track. Last night I went out with Jared, Jim, and some other people. I can't remember their names right now. It was a lot of fun! Tonight, Kelsey decided to get the girls together and we're going out for a girls night! I'm super excited to dance, laugh and be girly! Tomorrow I'll be spending the day working on school work and then Kari and I are having a movie night and planning trips for the rest of out time here. Saturday, Jared and I have to work on a group presentation for War and Media and Sunday we're taking a day trip to Pisa and Lucca.
I've been spending a lot of time with Jared as you can see. We have so much in common it's almost scary. Our families are very smilar and we're a lot a like. I'm pretty sure the biggest difference we have is that he likes green apples and I like red lol. He's someone I can really talk to and be open with. I love meeting people I can have great conversations with. I love that I met Jared and have a guy friend I'm so close to. He really is a great guy. It took a while, but I finally found myself a guy friend over here!!! I'm off to get ready for girls night tonight!!
