Man the closer it gets to the end (insert tear here) the busier I become!!
Last week Thurs, Jared, Kelsey, Kari, Diana, and I decided to go out. And we have so many stories to tell that I can't possibly write them all here. To summarize, the Italian men were on high alert and all of us girls had to keep chasing the off bc we didn't want to deal with them! They're not even cute...Jared was also the boyfriend to all 5 of us lol. And then Diana decided it'd be better if we were all lesbian lovers so technically Kelsey is my new girlfriend lol. Some guy tried to go after Diana and after Jared chased him away; his friend came up and yelled at him to keeping all 4 of us to himself. HAHAHA I find that very funny!!!
Back up to last Saturday (4/23). Kari, Diana and I went hiking/wine tasting in Chianti. Chianti is directly between Siena and Florence or about an hr away. First, our group went on a 2 hr hike around Chianti seeing many many many many many etc vineyards and olive trees. The views were more amazing than any picture I could have taken. In fact, I chose not to take some pics because it put the actual view to shame. We also stopped at this church which was very pretty. Again no pics allowed in here. We also saw a black cat by the church and guess who got to pet it? This girl : D I was happy.
After our hike, we got to eat a traditional Tuscan lunch with bruschetta, beans, and bread and meat for the appetizers. The main course was pasta and dessert with almond biscuits and wine. We had 3 different kinds of red wine with our meal and a dessert wine with the biscuits. We also had grappa which is 40% and nasty!! I mean bad bad ew icky yuck! I did not like it lol. Though I'm not a red wine drinker, I did enjoy one red wine I had: the Chianti Classico. I also brought the most amazing olive oil ever! And I'm bringing them both home with me!!
The next day, Sunday 4/24, Kari, Diana and I went to Verona! We had a walking tour around town and say Romeo's house and Juliet's house. We also got to see where the ladies respond to the letters written to Juliet (watch Letters to Juliet to fully get what I mean) and we also could drop them in a mail box if we had a letter! Kari wrote a letter and she'll get a response once she's back in the States! I had no idea what to write about so I didn't write anything. I do have to admit all the love-y stuff in the shops were a bit hard to handle bc I kept thinking how great of a gift some things would make if I had a bf or how I would have gotten Mitch this if we were still together. But even though I still miss him and at times still think that I love him, I know that the breakup was great for both of us. Through Jared, I have learned that there are other great guys out there and that I'll find my Mr. Perfect. Jared has 100% made my break up so so so much easier! But I do have my sad moments still and I can't wait to be done with them! Verona was lots of fun and so pretty as well. I have a great last weekend.
This week I've just been busy with final papers, final projects and classes. We didn't have class on Mon which gave me time to finish my Broadcasting paper! I also finished my audio project yesterday so now all I Have to worry about is my final presentation for Broadcasting which I'll be finishing up with tonight, my 8pg War and Media paper and all of my finals. I have my cooking written final next week bc during finals week, we have our cooking final! I'm actually excited for the cooking final lol.
This weekend, Kari and I are going to the Academia on Saturday and possibly someplace else and on Sunday, we are going to Cinque Terre for an ALL day walking tour. All day at in we leave at 8am and come back at 9am...should be fun though!!!! I'm excited!
Now if I'm going to have fun this weekend, I suppose I should finish my Broadcasting project tonight :)
Ciao!
