BEST WEEK YET!!

It's been a few days since I've written and a lot has happened! I got my midterm grades back 2 A's and 3 B+'s! I'm very content with this seeings how they were ALL essays and I've never done the whole European testing before. It's a little harder than in the states. They don't "baby" you as much when it comes to testing. So as far as school goes, it's been a great week!

Tuesday night, Kelsey convinced me to go out. Knowing I had classes the next day I knew it'd be a fun Wednesday. But I'm only in Florence once so what the heck! I talked to my girl Bailey via Skype before I went out which was an amazing convo!! I've missed her so much and I can't wait to live with her next year! Bailey also signed us up for housing for next year and I will be spending my senior year of college living in KP (the same building I was in fall semester) 203!! I'm pretty much moving directly above the room I lived in last fall lol. But I'm excited for the new memories that are going to be had! New roomies, new year, new adventures, and one final amazing year at UWGB! Not sure what's going to happen, but I know it'll be a great year! And Bailey and the girls are already on the lookout for a new man, so my dating life will continue in GB. Lol.

Tuesday night was a lot of fun going out and I ended up meeting one of Jared's roomies Jim. He seems like a really cool guy and it was fun getting to know him. Jared and I have also been hanging out a lot these days and it's so great having a guy friend here!! Guys are really making Florence even more amazing than it already is. And I'm sure everyone will be happy to know that I DO NOT EVER WANT TO GO HOME!! Someone remind me why I wanted to leave here at first?? On second thought, don't remind me, I'm too happy to remember the bad. lol I miss my friend and family a ton but I love Europe and would love to study abroad next year. However, I need to do that whole graduating, find a job, and start my life thing. So I'll continue to live it up here and look forward to my next visit to Europe whenever that may be.

It was also one of my friends Ariel's 20th Birthday last night so I went out for that. I've never had too much fun!!! I met a lot of people both Italians and Americans. It was a true girl’s night, dancing, meeting new people, and just having a great time. We met up and went out to dinner and then to the Fish Pub which is a local bar. The girls I went out with knew the owners and everyone who works there so it was free shots and drinks all night long! But I stayed sober pretty much the entire time. I didn't really feel like drinking too much and I was having enough fun on my own. I danced with a few Italian men and they're still just as creepy as they were when I first got here. However the nice thing about them is that they know when to back off and leave you alone. There are also people around Florence who sell roses at night. Turns out the girls knew one of the guys and we all ended up dancing with him as well. It was so much fun! Harmless and fun. I also ended up getting a rose out of it so that was a perk.

I also happened to see Zach, a guy in my journalism class. Turns out the girls I was with goes to school with him and his friends. So we all ended up hanging out towards the end of our evening. The guys ended up taking us to the secret bakery in Florence. It's only open at like 2am and it's on a side rode in a shop that doesn't even look like a restaurant. It's one of those you have to know what you're looking for places to find it. Hence Secret Bakery. I had one of the most amazing croissants EVER! And now that I know where it is, I'm taking Kelsey there the next time we go out!

So there's the recap of my week. Lots of fun and I met so many new people! Man I love Europe and all of the adventures I'm having here. I'm definitely not that same person I was when I left the States. I've learned to get out of my comfort zone more, learned how to not be so shy around guys and believe it or now I'm even more outgoing! Not sure how that was possible but it's true. :)

For my next European adventure, Kari and I are off to Munich Germany today at 7pm for the weekend!! I'm so excited to leave the country for the first time since being here!! I have so much to do before I leave in 5 hrs! So I best get to doing that. I'll be sure to take lots of pics and post them! But don't expect them until early next week bc I'm not getting back from Germany until 12am on Sunday night/Monday morning!

Ciao from a very happy girl in Florence!
