Thanks for reading!!
Final Day:
Day 4 in Roma was another short one. The girls and I only had 2 things left we wanted to see before boarding the train for another 4 hr ride back to Florence. So we headed off to see the Pantheon! Sadly when we got there, they were about ready to start a mass service so we weren't allowed it. So we went to our second destination: a place with a bunch of fountains. I loved it here! This was one of my favorite things I did in Roma. There were some amazing fountains but also a bunch of street artists.
I was in the mood to do some art shopping so that's what I did. I bought three paintings all painted by this very nice vender. I chose to buy from him because 1) I loved his work 2) he wasn't pushy like some sales people are 3) his paintings were in my price range and 4) he was extremely nice! like genuinely nice. I got one painting of the Coliseum, one of Vatican City and one of the Trevi Fountain. Each painting took 7-8 hours to do so I have a total of 21+ hrs of art work! And it only cost 20 Euros!! Great deal :)
After art shopping we headed back to the Pantheon. We got to go in this time! It's pretty cool. This is the only church that is shaped like a dome and has a skylight in the center. It was pretty inside as well! But really what church isn't? After the Pantheon, we checked out of our hostel, paid and said goodbye to our new favorite Roman hostel owners. If I get go back to Roma, I'm staying there!
So that's the summarized version of my weekend in Rome! My best trip so far and a must for anyone to visit! My favorite sites were all of the fountains! Hope you enjoyed reading about Rome!
Ciao :)
