So today Jared and I went for a walk around Florence. It was very pretty and really nice to get out of my apt since I've been cooped up here all day. Before our walk, I'm sitting at the Duomo minding my own business looking out for Jared since I'm meeting here there. I'm people watching and enjoying my time outside. All of a sudden an Italian guy comes up to me and asks if I speak English. I say yes thinking that he wants to ask me something, we are by a tourist attraction after all. No he wants to hit on me and ask where I'm from and how long I'm in Italy for. Thank God Jared showed up pretty much right after the guy started talking to me. The smooth Italian man points to Jared and asks if my boyfriend speaks Italian. lol. I tell him no not my boyfriend but I'm going to leave and go for a walk with Jared. So what I learned today that if you want to get hit on, sit on the ground and mind your own business, the guys will find you. Lol I'm flattered really but very happy Jared was there to rescue me from that situation. Going out with a random Italian man who I don't know is not exactly on the list of things to do while I'm over here. I don't mind meeting and talking to guys and joining their group but I want my girls at my side too! At least now I have a fun little story and a bit of a self esteem boost. Gotta love Italy!
